Latice is a tile strategy board game. We collect the minimum needed to run the game, and this page says what that is.
Your settings, streaks, daily puzzle results, and saved games are kept in your browser or on your device. They stay there unless you sign in.
Signing in — with Google, an email link, or anonymously — syncs your
progress to Firebase Firestore so you can continue on another device and
play other people. That includes your display name, avatar and
@handle, stats, rating, streaks, match history and replays,
friends list, lobby messages, and entitlement records for Latice Plus.
Matches you play against other people are part of their history too.
Web purchases and tips go through Stripe. Stripe handles your card details; we never see them. We keep a record of what you bought so the game can unlock it.
If you turn on reminders, we store a push-notification token so we can send them. Turn reminders off in Settings and the token is removed.
We use Google Analytics to see how the game is played — which screens are used, how long sessions last, where people get stuck. This is aggregated and is not used to identify you.
Latice does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. The game can be played without signing in.
You can delete your account and cloud data from inside the app — see Delete account. To remove local data, clear your browser's site data for latice.com.
